Job Summary
The person selected for this versatile role will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing and maintaining digital (eLearning/online) courses, job aids and various other learning solutions. As a key member of the People Technologies Team, the eLearning Designer will ensure optimum performance of learning technologies key to the execution of digital and mobile projects and initiatives.
Overall responsibilities include ownership, maintenance, and performance of digital courses. Additionally, the eLearning Designer will routinely create, revise, and troubleshoot digital content to ensure modules and digital resources remain relevant and are easily accessible.
Your Key Job Functions
eLearning Instructional Design
  • Shared responsibility for the overall performance of a digital-based curriculum comprised of multiple delivery formats (i.e. digital, instructor-led, blended, etc.)
  • Utilizes authoring tools (Captivate 8, Articulate Storyline 2) to create and/or edit digital content.
  • Partners with key stakeholders and content developers in the conceptualization, development/design, deployment and maintenance of digital courses and mobile learning assets.
  • Possesses a keen awareness of learning technology trends, tools and emerging technologies.
  • Consistently embodies an ‘Own It’ approach to the identification and resolution of technical issues.
  • Demonstrates creativity, flexibility, and innovation in course design.
  • Supports learner’s needs by promptly responding to support requests, questions, and feedback.
  • Ensures reporting accuracy and credibility by ensuring course attributes and learner input/actions are properly received and recorded by the LMS.
System Administration
  • Responsible for a majority of the management/administration of Brinker’s current Learning Management System.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in all LMS components including catalog, content, people, and system administration.
  • Recommends and implements system administration policies.
  • Designs and implements configurations and customizations to address business and end-user needs.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves content and module related technical issues
  • Intuitively recognizes critical needs and situations, and responds with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Maintains environments for testing and staging to assess change impact to the LMS and related services.
  • Embodies a ‘first class’ approach when resolving issues, coaching end-users, and addressing questions related to content functionality, operating system requirements, etc.
Content / Course Management
  • Oversees the course management lifecycle, including: course configuration, version control, catalog structure and convention, content/course affiliations, reporting and analysis, and content archival.
  • Closes out course enrollments post-class to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Provides administration and support for mobile learning technologies.

What You Bring to the Team
  • 3 – 5 years relevant experience (primarily supporting LMS administration and configuration).
  • 4+ years eLearning instructional design – Captivate and/or Articulate Storyline preferred with Adobe Suite experience.
  • 2+ years supporting corporate learning function and project management experience
  • Experience in an education or corporate training environment.
  • Highly proficient knowledge of databases, database tools, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • eLearning/instruction design certification.
  • Build trusting relationships by acting with integrity, courtesy, and responsibility, even in the face of stress or demanding workplace conditions.
  • Effectively networks and establishes collaborative relationships across multiple lines of business involving many stakeholders with minimal direct supervision.
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities without compromising deadlines or quality of deliverables.
  • Practical application of Adult Learning Theory and learning evaluation metrics.
