Job Summary

The PeopleWorks Coordinator will be part of the Maggiano’s PeopleWorks (HR) team and partner with Maggiano’s leaders to drive business success by leading and improving HR processes, workforce planning, team member engagement, and executing learning and development strategies.


The individual is responsible for providing a seamless teammate experience and promoting teammate engagement. This role requires an individual with a high amount of drive, independent judgment, ability to influence, and the ability to execute quality decisions in a fast paced and high volume environment. This position will report to the PeopleWorks Director.


Your Key Job Functions

Provides day-to-day counsel and leadership in a variety of human resource areas:

  • Lead HR processes through coordinating communication, timelines, development and re-design of processes where needed.
  • Track and analyze multiple succession planning activities which include running weekly people reports, updating staffing rosters and managing the certified hourly lead program.

  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends and make recommendations on how to continue to elevate the teammate experience

  • Coordinate conferences/workshop information, agendas, travel arrangements, transportation, meals and materials

  • Fulfill a broad range of HR functions, including interviewing, processing separations, and Performance Improvement Plans when necessary

  • Offer administrative support coordination for the team

  • Manage multiple HR bodies of work which include the teammate incentives, manager in development programs and related logistics information

  • Partner closely with the agency to manage the spend and applicant flow for hourly teammates at the restaurants

  • Access various human resources databases to process, retrieve and maintain all relevant human resource documentation for teammates.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

  • PHR/SPHR preferred

  • 2-3 years of HR generalist experience required; preferred specialist experience in talent management/succession planning, coaching senior leaders, organizational development, analytics/metrics, HR processes

  • Excellent presentation skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to identify business problems, opportunities, and threats; and creatively solve for them

  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with variety of stakeholders with diverse cultural backgrounds expertise and experiences

  • Ability to meet timelines with minimal supervision

  • Ability to use independent judgment to organize and prioritize work and manage resources to achieve goals

  • Self-starting and assertive, high energy, highly organized and ownership mentality

  • Collaborative with strong interpersonal skills and desire to work cross-functionally
