Job Summary

Maggiano’s Little Italy is looking for a Communications Specialist to develop and deploy communications for the Maggiano’s Brand. This individual will support multiple platforms and channels such as internal and external communications, presentation building, announcements, and Maggiano’s operations newsletter. The right candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross functional teams.

Your Key Job Functions

● Manages the development, creation and execution of rich & creative content including scripts, speeches, web content, presentations/decks, announcements and other material while ensuring all messages align with Maggiano’s strategy and initiatives.

● Develop and draft weekly newsletter for Maggiano’s field operations.

● Draft, proofread and edit internal and external communications, reports, presentations and other written materials.

● Manage all internal communications channels for Maggiano’s including web portal, newsletter, video and email; make recommendations for new and enhanced channels.

● Support the strategy and concept for our internal web portal.

● Develop communication plans and programs that meet business and stakeholder requirements

● Help maintain and enforce company positioning and branding in communications

● Coordinate various projects, working closely with business leadership and project teams to advance communication priorities and develop effective integrated communication plans

● Track measurements to ensure effectiveness of all communications and appropriate ROI

● Develop written content for internal audiences in a variety of formats including online training, print materials, scripts and organizational memos.

Work with subject matter experts to collect and format job-specific training materials, job aids and reference materials.

What You Bring to the Team

● Bachelor’s Degree; (English, Communications or Journalism concentrations preferred)

● 2-4 years’ experience in internal and/or corporate communications, restaurant or hospitality industry experience a plus

● A keen understanding of how to craft and communicate a compelling message, and the ability influence a wide variety of audiences, both external and internal.

● A high degree of comfort working at the senior management level and across different functional groups.

● Experience with PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Word, Publisher, Graphic Design and Layout

● Excellent writing and editing skills

● Strategic thinker, excellent problem-solver, highly motivated, proactive, flexible and results-oriented

● Project management skills; strong ability to help the manager plan and execute a communications strategy

● Ability to balance multiple priorities, prioritize and deliver programs and tactics on time to budget in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

● Independent worker, strong customer focus, team player, highly developed interpersonal communication skills

● Video filming and editing a plus

● Adobe creative suite and Dreamweaver experience is a plus
