Job Summary

You will work collaboratively with the Brinker development team and legal team to build new Chili's and Maggiano's restaurants.  You will help prepare lease exhibits, develop and manage timelines and checklists from new leases, review title and survey, coordinate with the development team, title company and surveyor to resolve title and survey issues, prepare lease abstracts and draft and negotiate real estate documents, such as SNDAs, easements and form agreements.  Responsibilities may also include helping our property management team with real estate issues for our portfolio of more than 1,000 Chili's and Maggiano's restaurants.  You may draft and negotiate lease amendments, assignments and other agreements.  You may review leases and real estate documents to understand rights and responsibilities and then coordinate with Brinker teams, landlords or third parties to solve issues.   

What You Bring to the Team

  • 8+ years of lease real estate development experience in law firm or corporate settings
  • Understanding of commercial leases, title and survey issues and restaurant development
  • Talent for communicating, coordinating and working cooperatively
  • Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to organize and identify priorities
  • Capacity to manage a pipeline of new restaurants
  • Ability to learn quickly and to work efficiently
  • College degree or paralegal certificate preferred
