Job Summary

The SCM Brand Program Management Project Manager for Maggiano’s will manage the relationship for the SCM team with the Maggiano’s Brand Culinary, Culinary Operations, Marketing, Finance and Operations teams. They will be the primary interface between Maggiano’s and the SCM team and will represent SCM in Brand cross-functional meetings to provide Supply Chain strategic options and direction. They will participate in Maggiano’s Culinary Councils, product cuttings, and other Brand related meetings to learn about and provide direction on Maggiano’s current and future initiatives. They will facilitate weekly meetings with the SCM team to provide feedback, project updates and gain alignment with Maggiano’s initiatives and SCM resources. They will provide support to Procurement product optimization and/or alternate sourcing projects that require Brand involvement.

The SCM Brand Program Management Project Manager for Maggiano’s will develop and manage project timelines to ensure critical dates are met and required inventory levels (build and phase outs) are completed correctly. Using forecast supplied by the brand they will develop the inventory demand plans, communicate the end-to-end project plans & instructions to all key stake holders (internal and external) and manage the execution of the project plan to ensure critical dates and continuity of supply is maintained. Utilizing current software visibility tools, they will work with vendor partners to maintain program inventory compliance to meet sales demands and minimizing obsolete inventory exposure/risks. They will develop static reporting that will capture key statistical performance date measuring actual vs. forecast program performance for all Brand initiatives/ (Monthly Features, Promotions and Menu Launches).  The static reports will be reviewed to determine trends and potential program improvements (Best Demonstrated Practices – BDP’s) and will present recommendations to key stake holders for future program enhancements and implementation.

Your Key Job Functions

  • Manage the Brand and SCM relationship for all Brand initiatives.
  • Act as primary interface for Supply Chain and Brand Culinary/Marketing teams.
  • Manage the process for day-to-day Brand Program issues and problems resolution.
  • Manage and facilitate weekly meetings with the SCM Team to provide direction on project plans and other brand updates.
  • Oversee & work with Culinary, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, QA, Logistics, Distribution and other key stake holders to resolve systemic Brand program issues.
  • Review and develop continuous improvements to the inventory management process for Brand programs.
  • Manage and confirm project deliverables and timelines are achieved for all Brand Programs (Tests, Promotions, Features, and Menu Launches).
  • Working with key stakeholders, manage supplier partners (vendors, primary and secondary distributor) inventories required to support Brand projects. This includes supplier production scheduling and managing raw material inventory exposure on Tests, LTO’s (Limited Time Offers), Features, and Menu Launches.  Also includes managing existing items inventory levels to minimize exposure.
  • Manage the monthly dead inventory process including communication with distributors, suppliers, Brinker Procurement, and Accounting-Disbursements.  Formulate recommendations and obtain final disposition approval from BPM - Sr. Director.
  • Where needed, provide guidance to Distribution Analyst in resolving day-to-day inventory/service problems that impact the Brand initiatives.
  • Function as the primary SCM contact for all Brand and Culinary projects. This will be for internal and external key stake holders.
  • Ensure that Brinker’s Code of Business Conduct is followed in dealing with all Suppliers and Distributors.
  • Communicate and manage project plan instructions, including timeline and inventory demand plan expectations to always ensure continuity of supply.
  • Provide feedback and/or participate in Sr. Distribution team semi-annual business reviews with all distributors.
  • Attend Marketing, Operations, and other Brand meetings to support initiatives and manage Supply Chain deliverables.
  • Own professional self-development (i.e., project management (PMP), CPM certification, etc.) that will provide further knowledge of inventory and Brand Program Mgt.  Formulate action plan for professional development directly with Supervisor.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 4+ years Supply Chain project management which may include inventory management, demand planning, distribution, logistics, or procurement
  • 2+ years demonstrated leadership skills
  • Preferred - 4-year college with BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Transportation or other related disciplines.
  • CPM or PMP training and/or certifications
  • Technical Knowledge- demonstrates working technical knowledge of demand planning, product procurement, inventory management, distribution, logistics, and freight expediting. 
  • Communication Skills- excellent written and verbal; ability to deal independently with internal customers and external resources.
  • Budget/Cost Control- general understanding of inventory management and cost control functions, with ability to perform complex inventory control processes.
  • Judgment/Decision Making- ability to make appropriate business judgments and decisions independently; Demonstrated ability to perform strategic thinking and planning. Ability to prioritize work, as well as pay attention to detail with accuracy and perform multiple tasks with various deadlines simultaneously.
  • Problem Solving- ability to independently work through complex problems and derive innovative solutions/options; strong ability to work under pressure and short timelines while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical- ability to perform complex inventory analysis independently
  • Interpersonal Skills- ability to build effective organization relationships inside and outside the department; ability to inspire trust via open, candid relationships, fair treatment and behavior consistent with expressed beliefs and commitments.
  • Strategic Management- ability to develop distinctive strategies to achieve competitive advantage; translate broad strategies into specific objectives and action plans; align the organization to support strategic priorities. Strong ability to elicit internal and external support; will work with Culinary Ops, Marketing, Procurement, QA, Accounting, suppliers and distributors to ensure all objectives are being met.
  • Presentation Skills- ability to develop clear, concise and convincing business presentations.  Audience to include Sr. Leadership teams, SCM peers, and multiple Brand teams.
  • Leadership- ability to act as project leader for special task assignments; provide appropriate SCM and Brand team members with inventory management and specific BPM issues and recommendations; BPM – Sr. Project Mgr will have authority to instruct suppliers and distributors on behalf of Brinker International to manufacture, order raw materials/ finished goods,  and ship products to support Brand initiatives.
  • Mentoring- ability to mentor other Supply Chain team members in technical knowledge skills.
  • Computer Skills- working knowledge of Microsoft Office based software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; ability to learn new software applications related to BPM performance.
