Job Summary

Brinker is seeking a Savings Plan Administrator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to manage and support administration of the Company’s qualified and non-qualified Retirement Plans.

Ideal candidates will possess a deep understanding of the various aspects of retirement plan administration – including trust accounting, census & deferral management, loan & distribution processing, compliance testing and Form 5500 filings. Assists with weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual retirement plan compliance items such as mailouts, audit prep, and monthly reconciliation items.

Facilitates internal reporting for the plan and maintains up-to-date and accurate tracking for all compliance related activities. Audits reports received from the Recordkeeper. Reviews and interprets plan documents to ensure accurate plan execution. Partner with Recordkeeper as necessary to resolve data conflicts. Evaluates processes for efficiency and updates written procedures as needed.

Proactively leads and develops projects for the 401(k) team to ensure risk reduction, accuracy, and productivity. Works closely with multiple vendors and internal business partners to maintain and support all plans effectively. 

Your Key Job Functions

  • Responsible for daily administration of the retirement plans, insuring data files for eligibility, payroll deductions, and loans are validated, reconciled, and processed as required using various systems.
  • Coordinates the preparation and distribution of participant communications, including summary annual reports, summary plan descriptions, and other disclosure notices and information required under ERISA.
  • Performs compliance testing including ADP/ACP, 410(b), 401(a)(4), 402(g) and 415 limits for the plans.
  • Leads the annual audit process including 5500 preparation and other government filings.
  • Partners with Payroll, Treasury and Finance to ensure timely and accurate data transmission.
  • Ensures accurate plan operations, plan design, distributions restrictions and timing on deferral elections under the NQDC plan is compliant with the 409(a).
  • Maintains ongoing communication with internal and external customers and vendors, verbally and in writing, for problem resolution and answering escalated inquiries
  • Creates and presents financials, participation trends, and plan statistics as needed.
  • Supports the Savings Plan Committee in recurring meetings, evaluating plan design, compliance, and investment fund analysis.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility in 401(k) plan administration and design
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Maintains awareness of federal, state, and local laws and regulations to ensure compliance, including, but not limited to, ERISA and Section 125 provisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret retirement plan provisions.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical internal and external customers.
  • CEBS or other benefit certifications preferred, but not required.
