Job Summary

Brand Program Management- Project Manager will interface directly with Culinary Operations, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, QA and Distribution teams for all Brand driven Marketing and Culinary projects. Additionally, the BPM Project Mgr. will support Procurement product optimization projects that require Brand involvement and focused inventory management (minimizing obsolete inventory exposure risks and/or supply gaps).

The BPM-Project Manager will analyze the sales forecasts, develop the inventory demand plans, and communicate the end-to-end project plans & instructions to all key stake holders (internal and external) ensuring continuity of supply. Manage the project timelines to ensure critical dates are met. Manage inventory ramp ups and phase-outs, utilizing current software visibility tools.  Measure and report inventory “actual vs forecast” for Tests, Promotions and Menu Launches.  Work with BPM-Sr. Project Mgr. and BPM Sr. Director to develop strategic inventory plans.

Your Key Job Functions

  • Manage the project process for day-to-day Brand Program issues and problems resolution.
  • Primary SCM project interface for all Brand driven Tests, Promotions, and Menu Launches.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with SCM Team to provide Brand Program project updates.
  • Work with BPM-Sr. Manager and/or BPM Sr. Director to resolve systemic Brand Program issues.
  • Promptly respond to all calls from Operations, Culinary Operations, and all key stake holders.
  • Effectively work toward all project deliverables and timelines for all Brand Programs (Tests, Promotions, and Menu Launches).
  • Manage distributor purchase order and ongoing inventory reports required to support brand projects.
  • Oversee the monthly dead inventory process including communication with distributors, suppliers, and Brinker Procurement, and Accounting-Disbursements.  Obtain final disposition approval from BPM Sr. Project Mgr. and/or BPM - Sr. Director.
  • Ensure that Brinker’s Code of Business Conduct is followed in dealing with all suppliers and distributors.
  • Communicate clear project plan instructions, including timeline and inventory demand plan expectations to ensure right products, right amounts, right time.
  • Provide feedback to Sr. Distribution team for semi-annual business reviews with all distributors.
  • Attend Marketing, Operations, and other Brand meetings as necessary.
  • Own professional self-development (i.e. project management (PMP), CPM certification, etc.) that will provide further knowledge of inventory and Brand Program Mgt.  Formulate action plan for professional development directly with Supervisor.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Technical Knowledge- demonstrates working technical knowledge of demand planning, product procurement, inventory management, distribution, logistics, and freight expediting.  
  • Communication Skills- excellent written and verbal; ability to deal independently with internal customers and external resources. Strong ability to elicit internal and external support; will work with Culinary Ops, Marketing, Procurement, QA, Accounting, suppliers and distributors to ensure all objectives are being met.
  • Budget/Cost Control- general understanding of inventory management and cost control functions, with ability to perform complex inventory control processes.
  • Judgment/Decision Making- ability to make appropriate business judgments and decisions independently; .  Demonstrated ability to perform strategic thinking and planning. Ability to prioritize work, as well as pay attention to detail with accuracy and perform multiple tasks with various deadlines simultaneously.
  • Problem Solving- ability to independently work through complex problems and derive innovative solutions/options; strong ability to work under pressure and short time lines while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical- ability to perform complex inventory analysis independently.
  • Interpersonal Skills- ability to build effective organization relationships inside and outside the department; ability to inspire trust via open, candid relationships, fair treatment and behavior consistent with expressed beliefs and commitments.
  • Presentation Skills- ability to develop clear, concise and convincing business presentations.  Audience to include SCM peers and multiple Brand teams.
  • Leadership- ability to act as project leader for special task assignments; provide appropriate SCM and Brand team members with inventory management and specific BPM  issues and recommendations;  BPM – Project Mgr will have authority to instruct suppliers and distributors on behalf of Brinker International to manufacture, order,  and ship products to support Brand initiatives.
  • Computer Skills- working knowledge of Microsoft Office based software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; ability to learn new software applications related to BPM performance.

 Work Experience

  • 2+ years Supply Chain project management which may include inventory management, demand planning, distribution, logistics, or procurement.
  • Preferred - 4 year college with (BA/BS) in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Transportation or other related disciplines.
