Job Summary

The Application Architect of Oracle HCM COE will be responsible for administering and supporting the Oracle Cloud HCM (SaaS) Application suite, including application configuration, release management, cyclical business processes, and ongoing support and projects. This role has both strategic and tactical responsibilities in support of a wide breadth of modules in Oracle Cloud HCM, including Payroll for 70,000 team members. The ideal candidate must have a strong techno functional background in HR application platforms, primarily Cloud Payroll and Time & Labor, ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance requirements, and best practices across HCM processes. Candidate must display excellent analytical and communication skills, work well with diverse cross functional teams, and thrive in a varied, fast paced environment. This role will also be expected to provide coaching and guidance to junior analysts.

Your Key Job Functions

•    Lead architectural design and solution development to ensure data integrity, system performance, and operational reliability of the Cloud HCM Application suite, including all HCM modules - Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Absence, Time & Labor, Workforce Compensation, Recruit, Journeys, and Talent Management (primary accountability over Payroll & Time & Labor)
•    Collaborate with HR and business partners to understand requirements, design scalable solutions, and implement process improvements to support efficient processes 
•    Architect solutions for business challenges with application functionality in Oracle HCM SaaS & PaaS framework
•    Configure functionality for all modules, including setup & maintenance, plan changes and configuration modifications
•    Provide expert-level guidance on payroll processing, taxation, year-end processing, retroactive calculations, and compliance with federal and state regulations
•    Drive configuration, integration, and customization efforts to support complex payroll rules, time entry policies, and labor tracking needs
•    Support cyclical business processes for HR function including development planning, merit/bonus, year-end processing, etc.
•    Support the release management cycle for quarterly release upgrades from Oracle - review release notes, assess impact, coordinate regression testing and guide functional teams through upcoming changes and adoption of new features
•    Participate in requirements gathering for both application changes and integration development helping partners define business solutions while providing sustainable solutions 
•    Provide and update techno-functional documentation as needed for new and existing applications such as configuration documentation, business process workflows, test scripts and training materials
•    Ensure compliance with internal controls, data governance, and information security standard
•    Ability to create OTBI Reports to analyze employee data, identify trends, monitor system performance and deliver actionable insights to support strategic decision-making
•    Support the design, development, and end-to-end testing of integrations between Oracle HCM Cloud and internal/external systems, ensuring data accuracy, seamless information flow, and reliable system performance
•    Strong analytical skills; problem solving and follow-through with sense of accountability
•    Ability to lead discussions and provide recommendations across both technical teams and business stakeholders
•    Build knowledge of Oracle Cloud application roadmap to maintain strategic oversight in support of the business
•    Ability to work with limited supervision and provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts
•    Work with other IT teams, functional partners and 3rd parties in support of HCM Application portfolio
