Job Summary: 

Supports Brinker's workers' compensation claims programs by assisting the risk team in managing complex workers' compensation claims processes. The goal of this position is to initiate immediate contact with injured team members and assist them with the claims process to ensure understanding of the process and reduce litigation. Completes administrative duties as required to facilitate the program. 

Your Role: 

  • Advocates and educates the team members on the workers compensation process to help reduce litigation
  • Communicates with the injured team member, restaurant managers, and adjuster to ensure timely updates are communicated 
  • Understands the workers' compensation law and assists restaurant managers with jurisdictional claim questions and creating relationships with local clinics 
  • Assists injured workers through the claims process until final resolution of the file 
  • Understands the workers' compensation law and assists restaurant managers with jurisdictional claim questions and creating relationships with local clinics 
  • Assists location management with creating relationships with local clinics
  • Maintains notes and diaries in the internal RMIS system based on medical and/or litigation information and ensures that the claim file is updated with current work status (restrictions, full-duty release and/or out of work)
  • Complies with the company's modified duty program and helps locate suitable/alternative work 
  • Works with external vendors to ensure return to work is operating efficiently 
  • Identifies trends and barriers to RTW and assists in developing proactive solutions 
  • Coaches restaurant managers on the benefits to the return to work program 
  •  

What You Bring to the Team:

  • High school diploma required 
  • 2 - 4 years of customer service experience 
  • Ability to build trust and create a sense of belonging for internal and external stakeholders 
  • Proven ability to solve problems and drive for results 
  • Self-starter with strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
