Job Summary
As a Analyst, Payroll Processing you will be a hands-on key player, partnering closely with Payroll Specialists to resolve escalated pay issues, reconcile payroll and time data, and train team members on process excellence. You'll serve as a bridge between payroll execution and business operations, ensuring every Team Member is paid correctly, every time.
Your Key Job Functions
- Oversee payroll and time reconciliation activities, ensuring alignment between systems and pay results.
- Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for payroll issues, inquiries, and discrepancies.
- Partner with Payroll Specialists to train, coach, and support issue resolution and knowledge development.
- Lead the creation and upkeep of standard operating procedures and process documentation for payroll operations.
- Conduct payroll audits and implement governance practices to reduce errors and improve compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Finance, HR, and Operations, to support new labor and pay initiatives.
- Conduct and lead testing of system changes, upgrades, or implementations in Oracle Cloud Payroll and Time & Labor.
- Monitor IRS Tip compliance and ensure restaurant tip-sharing practices align with regulatory guidelines (preferred but not required).
What You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- 7-10 years of end-to-end payroll experience in a high-volume environment, with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Payroll.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Payroll Cloud.
- 5-7 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience in high-volume environments.
- 5-7 years of experience with payroll auditing, error resolution, and governance.
- 3-5 years of experience creating process documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Self-starter with strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Ability to solve problems with accuracy and compliance as well drive results.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence effectively with both with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with restaurant payroll practices, including tips and IRS tip regulations (preferred).
