Position Summary:
The Regional Operations Chef plays a critical leadership role in ensuring culinary excellence and operational consistency across multiple locations within the region. This position supports Director of Operations and restaurant teams by implementing culinary systems, upholding brand standards, developing Chef talent, and leading the execution of new culinary initiatives and restaurant openings.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Culinary Systems and Standards
- Ensure company culinary standards, recipes, plating guides, and food safety procedures are consistently executed across all locations.
- Partner with operations teams to monitor kitchen performance, identify opportunities, and drive improvements in quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Conduct regular kitchen evaluations and audits to maintain high levels of culinary execution.
2. Chef Development
- Lead training, coaching, and mentorship for restaurant-level chefs and kitchen managers within the region.
- Identify high-potential talent and support career pathing, succession planning, and skills development.
- Support performance evaluations and corrective action processes in collaboration with Director of Operations
3. Culinary Initiative Training & Rollout
- Lead the regional execution of new menu items, LTOs, and culinary initiatives in alignment with Maggianos culinary and marketing teams.
- Coordinate and deliver training to ensure smooth adoption and consistent implementation.
- Serve as a feedback loop, providing insights on execution, guest response, and team needs.
4. New Restaurant Openings
- Act as the culinary lead for all new restaurant openings within the region.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure opening readiness, including kitchen setup, team training, and food quality standards.
- Provide on-site support before, during, and after opening to ensure a successful launch and operational handoff.
