Job Summary
This position is with the Restaurant Technology Team at Brinker with sole focus on the Development and Quality Assurance Lab spaces. The resource should be able to participate and be accountable to assigned Lab efforts at Brinker. The individual would own, manage and be responsible for Lab setup and maintenance related activities, Task Management, Installation Services and Support. Must be able to work with Business Community and Vendor Partners to gather requirements and translate that to Lab setup needs or activities. Must be a team player with an ability to work with various groups within the IT department. The individual must have the ability to work concurrently on multiple projects.
What You'll Do
- Aid in the IT and Business project for fulfillment of any software and hardware lab requirements.
- Work with other internal IT teams, Vendors, Business partners (external/internal) to understand or determine requirements for implementation in DEV and QA Labs.
- Serve as an IT resource across varying projects and internal discussions/meetings where technology deployment and implementation will need to be lab tested.
- Aid in maintaining documentation for lab setup and maintenance and provide any troubleshooting steps found in setup to project teams for support knowledge transfer.
- Aid in vendor support and quality assurance for 3rd party implementation vendors in both the Dev and QA lab space.
- Should be knowledgeable enough on restaurant technology concepts to drive discussion with both vendors as well as IT peers.
- Keep the Dev and QA lab technology tidy (Cable management, Spare hardware put in storge, Recycle boxes after hardware installation).
- Inventory/Asset Manager of lab hardware and software. Including Microsoft OS, Linux OS, Microsoft products, MS SQL Server 2012, NCR Software, QSR Hardware, NCR Hardware, KDS Hardware, Peripheral Hardware, Computer Hardware (non POS.)
What You Bring to the Team
- Minimum of 2 years' experience supporting technical platforms within a customer- or client-focused service environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - or equivalent relevant experience.
- CompTIA certification or equivalent relevant certifications/work experience required.
- Microsoft certification or related credentials for comparable product suites preferred.
- Hands-on experience with point-of-sale (POS) software such as Aloha, Toast, PAR, or Oracle Symphony required.
- At least 2 years of technical experience in a support or systems environment providing technical solutions and troubleshooting in restaurant environment .
