Job Summary
The Director, Supply Chain Optimization & Systems is a key leadership role partnering closely with Distribution, Planning, Procurement, and broader Supply Chain functions to drive end-to-end Supply Chain performance. This leader is responsible for connecting people, process, and technology across the end-to-end supply chain - from supplier to distributor to restaurant - to unlock efficiency, scalability, and long-term value. They will lead supply chain systems, analytics, contract administration, and Supply Chain-wide optimization efforts while shaping and executing a forward-looking strategic roadmap. This role is designed to scale alongside the evolving needs of the Supply Chain organization and may assume additional functional leadership responsibilities over time. A critical focus of this role is ensuring consistent, reliable execution of core supply chain processes, while identifying opportunities to modernize and simplify how work gets done. Over time, this leader will help evolve the supply chain toward a frictionless, highly reliable experience for restaurants, where product availability is seamless and reliable. This role also plays a key part in leading transformational initiatives that modernize how the supply chain operates, requiring strong cross-functional influence without direct authority. The ideal candidate balances strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring strong foundational processes today while building capabilities for tomorrow.
This role is based in Dallas (Coppell), TX and follows a hybrid schedule (3 days in office). We are currently focused on local candidates or those open to relocating to the area at their own expense. At this time, we are unable to provide sponsorship support.
What You'll Do
Supply Chain Strategy & Optimization
· Identify and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve end-to-end supply chain performance (cost, service, speed, and simplicity)
· Partner with Distribution, Planning, Procurement, FSQA, and Finance to diagnose root causes and implement scalable solutions
· Develop and maintain a multi-year supply chain optimization and technology roadmaps aligned to Supply Chain's vision, mission, and objectives
· Drive continuous improvement efforts, embedding a mindset of efficiency, standardization, and simplification across the Supply Chain
Ensure strong execution and standardization of core end-to-end supply chain processes, from supplier through distribution to restaurant delivery
· Identify and implement opportunities to modernize processes, reduce complexity, and improve reliability across the network Restaurant Experience & Service Reliability
· Champion a supply chain experience that is seamless and reliable for restaurant teams, minimizing operational friction and disruption
· Identify and address recurring pain points that require restaurant or field intervention, with a focus on root cause elimination
· Partner with Operations and Distribution to improve service consistency, communication effectiveness, and issue resolution processes
· Drive initiatives that reduce variability and improve confidence in product availability and delivery execution Systems & Technology Leadership
· Own the strategy, roadmap, and performance of supply chain systems (e.g., ERP, planning tools, supplier platforms)
· Partner with IT to prioritize enhancements, integrations, and future capabilities
· Own supply chain analytics and reporting, including visibility to key performance indicators across service, cost, and execution
· Champion data integrity, visibility, and reporting to enable better decision-making across the supply chain
· Leverage data to proactively identify risks
, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the end-to-end supply chain Contract & Data Governance
· Oversee contract administration processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability
· Lead and develop the Contract Analyst team supporting Procurement and Category Management
· Ensure pricing, supplier data, and item data are maintained with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
· Establish governance and standardization across supplier onboarding, contracts, and item management processes Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
· Serve as a strategic thought partner and central connector to Supply Chain leadership and key cross-functional stakeholders
· Translate complex challenges into clear, actionable plans with measurable outcomes
· Lead through influence across teams not directly reporting into the role
· Build strong relationships with internal partners and external suppliers Team Leadership & Development
· Lead, coach, and develop a team of Contract Analysts and a Supply Chain Systems Manager
· Create a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, growth, and continuous improvement
· Build scalable organizational capabilities and help evolve team structures to support future supply chain priorities and growth
What You Bring to the Team
· Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred
· 8+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including strategy, systems, or operations, with a focus on distribution, planning, or logistics - preferably in the restaurant, foodservice, or CPG industry
· Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable business impact
· Excellent communicator and collaborator with a coaching mindset and a bias for action.
· Experience with supply chain systems (ERP, planning tools, or procurement platforms)
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect data to action
· Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
· Experience leading and developing teams
