Job Summary

The Restaurant Architect will work with the Sr. Director of Architect and Development TeamM embers as well as out partner in Operations, Marking, Facilities and Franchise to develop and evolve prototype restaurants and remodel programs. This position will work with thede velopment team to coordinate changes to layout, finishes, furnishing, décor, and equipment to address site specific and operational programming requirements and development budgets.This role will oversee the design changes to building and equipment that are required due to site specific conditions, cost, menu changes, and code requirements. In addition, this position willw ork with Real Estate, Construction, Finance, and Legal partners in preparing stie specific
budges, securing entitlements and construction documents for new restaurant development.

Your Key Job Functions

Architecture & Design:
- Research and develop new materials, finishes, details, furniture, fixtures and equipment for existing and new prototype and remodel designs that meet programmatic, budget and availability requirements.
- Develop, coordinate, and communicate prototype and remodel information to internal business partners and franchisees.
- Develop, coordinate and communicate RFI and Change Memo documents for new restaurant and remodel locations
- Provide design direction for new franchise restaurants and remodels. Review franchise design and communicate necessary adjustments to comply with brand standards.
- Foster an environment of open communication and collaboration to ensure consistency, refinement and improvement in resultant design and development processes.
- Work with the development team and consultants to develop design and construction documents for non-prototypical restaurants.
Property Development:
- Lead and coordinate the due diligence and entitlements for new and remodeled resultant with landlords/developers and internal business partners.
- Make site visits and attend city meetings/public hearings as required for each project.
- Coordinate, track and communicate schedules for development and permit approval timing for new restaurant projects.
- Direct and coordinate consultants in the production of preliminary site plans and documents for design and landlord submittals, permitting and construction, checking the work for accuracy and conformity to design standard and development requirements.
- Provide architectural expertise and input to internal business partners to develop LOIs, lease and budgets for new restaurant development.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Degree in Architecture or related field, Architectural Registration preferred.
    - Architectural design experience, resultant design experience preferred.
    - Highly organized multi-tasked oriented, excellent communication skills.
    - Prototype and development and change management experience.
    - Ability to communicate direction and ideas clearly and concisely.
    - Computer literate to include AutoCAD, Acrobat, Photoshop, SketchUp, and Microsoft
    Office.
    - Knowledge of architectural and engineering systems.
    - Project management experience.
    - Production of Construction Documents.
    - Works effectively with minimal supervision.
    - 3-5 Years experience in an architectural firm or restaurant company
